Before joining HRDF, Einat was trained as a lawyer, and interned at the Public Defender’s office. Previously to that position, she was involved in various community projects and initiatives promoting socio-economoic justice and human rights. She mainly worked on the topics of refugees rights, human rights in the criminal process, and educational activities opposing the occupation in Jerusalem.

Widad Assaf is a Palestinian feminist lawyer and animal rights activists, currently works as the Legal Coordinator at HRDF. In previous years, she has worked as a campaigner in Amnesty International, and at the Prisoner’s and Detainees Department at Physicians for Human Rights. She is a passionate advocate for human and animal rights and is invested in bringing more attention to the case of Palestinian political women prisoners and detainees, locally and globally.
Ghadir al ShafiePartnerships & Resource Development Manager
Ghadir al Shafie is a political queer activist who joined the staff of HRDF as Partnerships and Development Manager after a leading career in queer-feminist organizing. She is a co-founder of Aswat and passionately believes in the intersectionality of the struggles of the oppressed, hence, dedicates her work and activism to promoting a greater understanding and commitment to the struggles of Palestinians for justice and freedom. Her interviews and articles appear in various academic and media outlets, Arab and international.
